In the field of exterior design, the Xpeng G9 is truly an excellent work. Since its launch, no one has been heard complaining about its appearance. The iconic
Xpeng family-style through-type light strip and split headlights have been retained. At the same time, the Xpeng G9 has ingeniously incorporated four driving light strips below the headlight assembly, which echo the Xpeng logo and showcase unique craftsmanship. Even for the entry-level model, the Xpeng G9 is generously equipped with a variety of rich functions, such as LED high and low beam lights, LED daytime running lights, adaptive high and low beams, automatic headlights, adjustable headlight height, and headlight delay-off function.
Moving to the side of the body, the design adopts a concept of simplifying complexity, creating a clean and pure visual impression. For details like the window frames and the luggage rack, black high-gloss materials are used, forming a striking contrast with the main body of the vehicle. This further enhances the sporty atmosphere. The visual center of gravity of the vehicle's rear is relatively low, giving a sense of stability. There is a bulge behind the luggage rack, where the 5G communication antenna is installed. This design eliminates the need for the installation space of the traditional "shark fin" antenna. It is worth noting that the Xpeng G9 is also one of the only two pure electric SUVs currently equipped with an original factory tow hook, and it has a legal traction qualification.
In terms of the chassis and suspension, the Xpeng G9 adopts a combination of double wishbone independent suspension and multi-link independent suspension. It also provides an electric four-wheel drive system, an air suspension, and an electromagnetic induction suspension (which supports the adjustment of suspension stiffness and height). According to the previous actual driving experience of the Xpeng G9, when the vehicle is driving on rough roads, the chassis can effectively buffer the impact, fully demonstrating the advantages of the air suspension. On seemingly bumpy and potholed road sections, the impact transmitted to the driver and passengers has become much softer. It retains a little crisp feedback of the road feel, and the driver will not have the feeling of being isolated from the road.
