In terms of appearance, the BYD Leopard 8 Smart and Courageous Deluxe 7-seater continues the family’s bold design style, adopting a futuristic starship aesthetic with a sci-fi and tough front face. It is equipped with a through-type LED daytime running light, and the C-shaped lights on both sides are integrated with the grille. The front surround features a silver trim and presents a “super lock” element. The BYD Leopard 8 Smart and Courageous Deluxe Edition 6-seater is built on the 2.0T DMO electric drive off-road pioneering platform, featuring a plug-in hybrid system with a 2.0T engine and dual motors. The engine provides a maximum power output of 200 kilowatts, while the peak power of the front and rear permanent magnet synchronous motors is 200 kilowatts and 300 kilowatts, respectively. The system delivers a combined power of 550 kilowatts, with an official 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 180 km/h.

The BYD Leopard 8 Smart and Courageous Flagship Edition 7-seater is equipped with a full-featured Yunni-P intelligent hydraulic body control system, offering a minimum ground clearance of 220 mm, with the ability to raise it up to 310 mm. The system supports a suspension adjustment stroke of 140 mm and can automatically adjust the suspension height according to speed and driving mode. More importantly, the BYD Leopard 8 also supports three levels of stiffness adjustment, continuous active damping adjustment, linkage laser radar, and camera active pre-aiming, along with four-wheel linkage, enabling it to handle extreme working conditions while ensuring driving comfort and stability.

The BYD Leopard 8 Smart and Courageous Flagship Edition 6-seater adopts a non-load-bearing body structure, equipped with front and rear double wishbone independent suspension. It also features the same full-featured Yunni-P intelligent hydraulic body control system as the Yangwang U8, with three adjustable parameters: height, stiffness, and damping. It supports a suspension adjustment stroke of 140 mm and boasts two key capabilities: active pre-aiming and four-wheel linkage.
