SAIC DATONG pickup truck brand "Star" launched on July 3

We have learned from officials that SAIC DATONG's new pickup brand "Star" will be officially launched on July 3, 2023, positioning the brand as a high-end, passenger-oriented vehicle.

During this year's Shanghai Motor Show, SAIC DATONG unveiled the GST concept pick-up truck, which features a 'tech-savvy' exterior design and a futuristic interior with a through-screen and a four-seat layout with a 45°-180° swivel passenger seat.


Officially, the vehicle is based on a non-loader pure electric chassis architecture, which allows for an "all-terrain intelligent chassis", "CTC battery", "four-motor distributed drive", "Tri-dim fusion control", which are said to be fully applied in future pickups and MPVs, "Tri-dim Fusion Control", which is said to be used in future pick-up and MPV models.
