Great Wall Motor recently officially launched the ORA Good Cat in Brazil, its second new energy vehicle to hit the Brazilian market, according to a press release issued by the company this week.
During the launch, Oswaldo Ramos, Chief Commercial Officer of GWM Brazil, announced the start of blind orders for the ORA Good Cat on Brazil's largest e-commerce platform. Customers will be able to place an order with a deposit of 9,000 Brazilian reais (approximately $13,500), with the exact selling price to be officially announced in August. The first vehicles are scheduled to be delivered to customers in October.
GWM began delivering the first Haval H6 new-energy vehicles to Brazilian customers in April this year and won the country's new-energy vehicle sales title in May, capturing 14.39 per cent of the market, according to data provided by GWM in a press release. That figure rose further to 14.81 per cent in June.
The launch of ORA Good Cat in Brazil will further strengthen GWM's position as a representative of the Chinese brand in the Brazilian market and help accelerate the country's transition to electrification, GWM said.
GWM is actively promoting the accelerated international expansion of its new energy products, contributing to the deeper development of overseas markets. In the first half of this year, the company's overseas sales reached 123,930 units, a year-on-year increase of 97.27 per cent.
In the first half of this year, intelligent new energy vehicles also entered overseas markets rapidly. Haval H6 HEV, ORA Good Cat, TANK 300 and TANK 500 have successfully entered the markets of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, the Philippines, Chile, Australia, Madagascar and other countries.
