On 17 August, Great Wall Motor ("GWM") updated its strategic efforts to strengthen its services and operations while accelerating the expansion of sales and service channels for new energy vehicles.
To date, the company has successfully deployed new energy vehicle terminals in 1,056 locations across China, which is expected to increase to 1,200 by the end of this year.
Entering 2023, GWM has made significant strides in the field of intelligent new energy vehicles. With the launch of a series of new products and the rapid expansion of terminal channels, the proportion of new energy vehicles in the company's overall sales has been climbing steadily month by month. Notably, in July this year, new energy vehicles accounted for more than a quarter of GWM's total sales.
Specifically, GWM sold a total of 28,896 new energy passenger vehicles, up 163 per cent year-on-year, setting yet another monthly sales record.From January to July, the company's cumulative sales of new energy passenger vehicles were 121,965 units, an increase of 64 per cent compared to the previous year.
By brand, new energy vehicle sales reached 10,105 units in July, surpassing the 10,000-unit mark for the second consecutive month. cumulative sales of HAVAL's new energy vehicles between January and July reached 37,754 units. The ORA brand, which is dedicated to new energy vehicles, sold 10,116 units in July, with cumulative sales exceeding 380,000 units since its inception. Meanwhile, the WEY brand sold 6,652 new energy vehicles and TANK sold 2,023 units in July.
