In June 2023, Great Wall Motor ("GWM") sold 104,957 vehicles, representing a year-on-year uptick of 3.73%, according to the company’s sales results issued on July 5.
Of the vehicles GWM sold last month, 26,669 units were new energy vehicles (NEVs), indicating a robust year-over-year surge of 110.32%. The automaker’s overseas sales reached 25,010 units in the month, showing an increase of 85.93% compared to the same period last year.
During the first half of the year, GWM achieved a cumulative sales figure of 519,226 vehicles. The year-to-date sales of NEVs amounted to 93,225 units, marking a growth of 46.60% compared to the previous year. Its Jan.-Jun. overseas sales reached 123,930 units, reflecting a growth of 97.27% over a year earlier.
Within the first half of the year, the Haval brand sold 292,644 vehicles, with 59,007 units sold in June alone.
In June, the Haval Xiaolong series hit the market, and it recorded sales of 6,098 units. The Haval Xiaolong MAX, known as a heavyweight model in Haval’s NEV lineup, is equipped with the brand-new intelligent four-wheel-drive hybrid technology, Hi4. With its slogan "offering the experience of four-wheel drive at the price of two-wheel drive," the new model has gained steady popularity. Just 45 days after its launch, the Haval Xiaolong series achieved a milestone of 10,000 units produced.
The WEY brand sold 6,602 vehicles in June, with a month-on-month growth of 14.4%.
In the first six months of this year, the WEY brand introduced several new models, including the Blue Mountain DHT-PHEV and the New Mocca DHT-PHEV. Among them, the Blue Mountain DHT-PHEV achieved sales of 5,506 units in June, with a month-on-month growth of 7.2%. Since its market launch, the cumulative sales of this model have reached 11,692 units.
The Ora brand sold 47,298 vehicles from January to June, including 10,015 units in June.

In the first half of the year, Ora put three refreshed models onto the market: the 2023 Ora Good Cat, the 2023 Ora Good Cat GT Mulan Edition, and the 2023 Ora Ballet Cat.
The TANK brand sold 58,327 vehicles from January to June, including 12,773 units in June.
In the Jan.-Jun. period of 2023, the 2023 Tank 500 and Tank 500 Hi4-T went on sale. The Tank 500 Hi4-T, positioned as a mid-to-large-sized luxury new energy SUV for off-road adventures, features the advanced Hi4-T hybrid powertrain.
GWM Pickup achieved sales of 16,523 units in June, surpassing the 100,000 mark with a total of 102,596 units sold in the first half of the year. Meanwhile, the POER series recorded sales of 12,087 units in June, marking the 34th month in a row with sales exceeding 10,000 units.
