On July 3, the new Dongfeng Honda Insignia was launched with six models.
On the exterior, there are significant changes to the new car, which will get a straight waterfall centre grille with new headlamp clusters and an adjusted internal structure of the light clusters. The difference with the sister model Accord headlights is that some of the Accord's light strips feature yellow light cavities.
The new car also gets new front and rear bars, new tail lights and a hidden exhaust. The plug-in will also have blue elements on the badge. The new model is also available in Deep Sea Orchid and Modern Grey colours. The dimensions of the new car are 4979*1862*1449mm in length, width and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2830mm.
Inside, the new car will feature a 12.3-inch floating centre screen with 10.2-inch LCD instruments, and the centre screen and door panels will also include ambient lighting design. In addition, the design of the knob below the centre console has been adjusted to 1, and the new car also features a traditional gearshift knob. The new car will be equipped with the latest Honda SENSING 360 and Smart Connect Honda Connect 4.0, which adds driver face recognition, live view navigation, in-car cinema and Koala OK.
The fuel version is equipped with a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 141kW and peak torque of 260N-m, and the transmission is matched with a CVT gearbox; the new car will also be offered with a 2.0L plug-in model, of which the engine has a maximum power of 109kW and peak torque of 182N-m; the electric motor has a maximum power of 135kW and peak torque of 335N-m. The new car has a WLTC pure electric range of 82km and a combined range of 963km. The combined range is 963km.
