ZEEKR 9X Grand Flagship SUV Officially Unveiled

Zeekr, the premium brand of Geely Group, today officially unveiled its flagship SUV, the 9X Grand.

The car, which will go on sale in China in the third quarter of 2025, will be equipped with a newly developed plug-in hybrid system, positioning it as the ‘world's top ultra-luxury flagship SUV’. The car has been photographed several times in heavy camouflage during road tests under the code name EX1E.

From the officially released photos of the camouflaged car, the 9X Grand is more than 5.2 metres long, and its overall silhouette resembles that of a Range Rover - a flat roofline with a sloping D-pillar design, a roof equipped with LIDAR sensors, and door handles with a hidden structure.

The front face continues the design language of the ZEEKR 009, with split headlight clusters arranged in a block shape, and a fuel filler visible on the left rear fender, hinting at its hybrid status.Split lamp group + closed grille, with 009 family style is slightly different, the presence of the lamp group is stronger, and the grille with a more balanced; large three-row SUV, suffix with ‘light’, indicating that the new car will have a 4-seat flagship version.

The official also released a winter test video, in which the test car travelling on an icy road briefly reveals a three-spoke steering wheel similar to that of the existing model.

The ZEEKR 9X Grand will be the brand's first model to feature the ‘Super Hybrid System’, which combines electric, plug-in and supercharged power modes.

Although the specific parameters have not yet been announced, officials previously revealed that its comprehensive range will exceed 1,000 kilometres.

According to the plan, this ultra-luxury SUV may debut at the Shanghai Motor Show at the end of April, and the domestic price is expected to exceed 1 million yuan. Krypton insiders said that the launch of the 9X Grand marks the brand's official entry into the million-class luxury car market, and in the future it will compete head-to-head with traditional fuel-fired luxury cars such as the Mercedes-Benz GLS and Range Rover.
