On 27 February 2025, Xiaomi held a new product launch event in Beijing, where the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra model was officially mass-produced and launched at a guide price of 74,900 $.

During the event, Xiaomi's Chairman and CEO, Mr Lei Jun, announced that the production version of the SU7 Ultra will compete in the Nürburgring Nordschleife Challenge before being released as a Nürburgring Limited Edition at a price of RMB 814,900.

Previously, Xiaomi EV revealed that the SU7 Ultra prototype had a lap time of 6 minutes, 46.874 seconds at the Nürburgring, making it the fastest four-door sedan on the track. The company also confirmed plans to continue racing at the Nürburgring in 2025.

The SU7 Ultra retains the aerodynamic design of the prototype, incorporating a sporty front splitter with a double ‘U’ shape. Its high-performance profile is further enhanced by a carbon fibre roof and LiDAR system.

The SU7 Ultra is available in five colour schemes: obsidian black, pearl white, space silver, parrot green and lightning yellow.

Its overall side profile resembles that of the standard SU7, with redesigned side skirts, ‘Ultra’ badges and additional racing decals enhancing its performance-oriented aesthetic.

The new car is 5,115 mm long, 1,970 mm wide, 1,465 mm high and has a wheelbase of 3,000 mm - the same as the standard version, but with additional dimensions.

The model comes with carbon-ceramic discs and Akebono calipers (six-piston front, four-piston rear). Xiaomi EV claims that the carbon-ceramic discs can withstand temperatures in excess of 1,300°C. The optional Bilstein discs are also available. In addition, the optional Bilstein EVO T1 shock suspension system balances street and track performance with 10 levels of adjustable damping that can be fine-tuned for different road and driving conditions.

At the rear, the SU7 Ultra features a carbon fibre spoiler, albeit smaller than the prototype's, as well as an aerodynamic diffuser and black and yellow accents, providing a total downforce of 285 kg. The rear badge has been updated to ‘SU7 Ultra’ in black finish, with racing stripes on the boot lid echoing those on the front.

Inside, the interior exudes a race car vibe. While the layout remains the same as the standard model, it features a lot of carbon fibre and Alcantara, with five square metres of Alcantara coverage. The car also introduces a new sports steering wheel and racing seats. The infotainment system offers a dedicated UI, three analogue exhaust notes and an integrated ‘Track Master’ mode.

Other improvements include carbon fibre trim on the centre console, seat backs and door sills. The panoramic sunroof has been removed to reduce weight and the upper door handles have been replaced with leather to further optimise lightness.

Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip and Xiaomi HyperOS, the vehicle is equipped with the Xiaomi Pilot intelligent driving system, powered by two Orin X chips that deliver 508 TOPS of computing power.

In terms of performance, the production version of the SU7 Ultra retains the prototype's three-motor system, track-spec battery and thermal management system. It features an all-wheel-drive setup that includes two HyperEngine V8 and one HyperEngine V6s motors delivering 1,548PS of maximum horsepower. The car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 1.98 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 5.86 seconds, and completes 0-400 metres in 9.23 seconds, giving it a top speed of over 350 km/h. Its CLTC range is rated at 620 kilometres and its energy consumption is 16.5 kWh/100 kilometres. It also has a minimum turning diameter of 11.7 metres and a braking distance from 100 km/h to 0 of just 30.8 metres.
