Luxeed R7 Extended Range Edition officially launched!

On 19th December, luxeed R7 Extended Range Edition ushered in the official launch of 2 models with a price range of 249,800-289,800 RMB. The new car will be luxeed's first hybrid model, and its entry-level model will not be equipped with LIDAR, while the higher-end model will be equipped with LIDAR, in line with the pure electric version.

:: New vehicle features

Externally, there is no difference in appearance between the luxeed R7 Extended Range Edition and the pure electric version. Meanwhile, the entry-level model will not be equipped with LiDAR, while the mid-range and high-end models will be equipped with LiDAR, in line with the pure electric version. The extended-range version also adds a new exterior colour scheme - Bibo Green. In terms of body dimensions, the new car's length, width and height are 4956/1981/1634mm, with a wheelbase of 2950mm, consistent with the pure electric model.

Interior: The new car offers a total of four interior colours and features a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument cluster in the form of a distal arrangement, and the steering wheel is farther away, which officials say avoids the sun's glare from interfering with the driver's eyes. The car comes with ventilated, heated and massaging seats across the board, with comfort features pulled straight out of the bag. The passenger seat is a zero-gravity design, supporting 18-way adjustment, 10-point massage, with a heated leg rest of 340mm in length. It will also come with electric sunblinds as standard across the range, double-layer acoustic and thermal glass in both the front and rear, and rear glass with privacy function.

Power, the new car will be equipped with model SQRH4J15 1.5T engine + single motor composed of range-extended power system, the engine maximum power of 115kW (156hp), and equipped with a 37kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, the maximum speed of 200km / h. In terms of competing models, combined with the price and positioning, the main competitors of the LUXEED R7 Extended Range Edition when it goes on sale include the Lixiang L6, Avatar 11 Extended Range Edition and AITO M7 Extended Range Edition. This time, the extended-range version has once again lowered the barrier to entry, compared to which the price advantages of the Lixiang L6 and the Aito M7 have been weakened, and the starting price of the Avatar 11 will be a bit higher. Although the above models are all positioned as medium and large SUVs, the user groups they are aimed at are still different, with the AITO M7 and Lixiang L6, which are also owned by Hongmeng Zhixing, being more orientated towards family orientation, and the Avatar 11 focusing on a sense of refinement and quality.
