Toyota Alphard to push plug-in hybrid version with 71km pure electric range

A few days ago, it was learnt from the relevant sources that toyota alphard will launch a plug-in hybrid version. Considering the technical upgrades of the PHEV version, the pricing of the new car is expected to be higher than the current model.

In terms of exterior design, the alephard Plug-in Hybrid continues the classic design elements of the Elfa family, such as the iconic double-layered matrix light source and the upright layout of the front surround, highlighting the atmosphere and luxury. Meanwhile, the new car also offers a variety of colour options to meet the individual needs of different consumers.

In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain consisting of a 2.5L engine and an electric motor, with the power battery capacity raised to 16kWh, and a pure electric range of 71km.In terms of parameters, the engine has a maximum power of 140kW, and a maximum torque of 240N-m.The front electric motor has a maximum power of 134kW, and a maximum torque of 270N-m; and the rear electric motor has a maximum power of 40kW, maximum torque of 121N-m, the combined power of the system 184kW.

The plug-in hybrid version has the same combined system power as the current model, so it will maintain a comparable level of power performance. However, because of the increased capacity of the power battery, the vehicle can be driven purely electrically in more scenarios, so it is expected to have a good performance in terms of fuel economy.
