BYD Sea Lion 05 DM-i unveiled

    At the 2024 Tianjin Motor Show, the BYD Haili 05 DM-i received its public debut. The vehicle has been officially launched previously with four models and a price range of RMB 112,800-142,800. Positioned as a compact SUV, the Hai Lion 05 DM-i will be powered by a 1.5L plug-in hybrid and equipped with BYD's latest DM5.0 plug-in hybrid technology, focusing on fuel economy.     In terms of appearance, Haili 05 DM-i continues the design concept of ‘ocean aesthetics’, with a wide front grille and chrome decorations arranged in a dot matrix on both sides, it looks full of momentum. The new Hui Hai Feng headlight modelling is hard and simple, with smoked black light cavity, showing a deep visual effect.

   On the side of the body, the vehicle adopts a floating roof design, together with the metal decorative strip embellishment around the window, adding a sense of fashion to the whole vehicle. The new car adopts a new five-spoke wheel, black + silver design visual contrast is strong, looks very dynamic. Body dimensions, the new car length, width and height of 4710/1880/1720mm, wheelbase is 2712mm.     In terms of interior, the vehicle is equipped with a full LCD instrument panel and a 15.6-inch rotatable centre control screen, equipped with BYD DiLink intelligent Internet system. The gear lever is surrounded by a circle of commonly used physical buttons, including the start button, electric/hybrid switching, electronic handbrake, volume adjustment, and air conditioning control. The front of the gearshift area is equipped with a 50W wireless charging slot for mobile phones, in addition to the new car is equipped with USB Type A + 60W Type C charging port, mobile phone NFC car key and equipped with BYD intelligent cloud services.

    In terms of power, the vehicle will be equipped with BYD's fifth-generation DM plug-in hybrid technology, with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 74 kW, an EHS electric hybrid system and a plug-in hybrid-specific blade battery, and an electric motor with a maximum power of 120 kW. The new car is equipped with 18.3 kWh battery, CLTC comprehensive working condition pure electric driving range of 115km, NEDC working condition loss of electric fuel consumption of 3.79L/100km. in addition, the vehicle will also support 3.3kW external discharge.
