Polestones 01 Achieves C-NCAP Five-Star Rating with Excellent Test Results

Recently, the China Automotive Industry Center announced a new batch of C-NCAP test results, and the Polestones 01 received a five-star rating. It is noteworthy that in May this year, the Polestones 01 also achieved excellent results in the C-IASI crash safety test. The car is currently on the market, with six models available, priced between $42,200 and $50,700.
 

The Polestones 01 underwent various tests, including frontal 50% overlap moving barrier collision, frontal 100% overlap rigid barrier collision, and side pillar collision. The passenger compartment structure remained intact, providing ample interior space. The A-pillar was not bent, all doors opened smoothly, and the airbags deployed successfully.
 

The high-strength steel in the Polestones 01 body frame accounts for more than 87%, with over 32% of 1500MPa+ hot-formed boron steel used in key parts of the vehicle. The body has a torsional stiffness of over 40,000 N·m/deg. After a 25% frontal offset collision, the A-pillar showed minimal deformation. In the side collision test, the maximum side survival space of 300 mm was the highest among models tested by the China Insurance Research Institute. The top pressure test achieved 159,730 N (16.3 tons), equivalent to withstanding 6.11 times its own weight.
