How is the chassis of BYD Seagull?

The BYD Seagull is easy to drive but does exhibit a sense of cheapness in several areas. Let me explain. Its chassis features a front MacPherson strut and a rear torsion beam structure, along with some reinforcements. The rigidity of the entire suspension is high. Additionally, its small body and long wheelbase make it more flexible in handling.
 

However, the steering feel of the BYD Seagull is not great, and the steering accuracy is lacking. On the other hand, power is a strong point. Despite its motor power being only 55kW, it can reach speeds of 120km/h. When driving at 60 to 70 kilometers per hour, there is still a noticeable sense of acceleration, making it commendable in terms of driving performance.
 

In terms of configuration, the Seagull is similar to Toyota. It offers some impressive-looking features but adheres to a cost-first approach. For instance, the top-equipped BYD Seagull includes wireless charging and NFC unlocking but lacks a sunroof, rear air vents, reading lights, and even a rear wiper, which is quite rare. As a hatchback, it easily forms a negative pressure area at the rear window, which accumulates dust and rain. This indicates that the Seagull aims to keep costs down. Compared to gasoline cars in the same price range, it doesn’t offer much of an advantage, but its main selling points are that it saves money and is easy to drive.
