The head-to-head competition of ten different hybrid SUVs is thrilling, providing a comprehensive understanding of each vehicle's performance in cross-evaluation. We've also prepared detailed analyses of their results in electric acceleration, high-speed electric fuel consumption, 1000km maximum range challenge, and off-road climbing. The spotlight in this article is on the Lixiang L6 (specs | inquiry) 2024 MAX (hereinafter referred to as Lixiang L6).

● Lixiang L6 Electric Acceleration
The Lixiang L6 is equipped with a 1.5T four-cylinder engine and a dual-motor four-wheel-drive system, delivering a combined maximum power of 300kW (408 horsepower) and combined torque of 529N·m, utilizing range-extender technology. In this test, it achieved the fastest 0-100km/h acceleration in 5.28 seconds when fully charged, ranking fifth overall. Under electric power, it achieved a 0-100km/h acceleration of 9.55 seconds, showing a 4.27-second difference compared to full charge, with a decay rate of 45%.

● Lixiang L6 High-Speed Electric Fuel Consumption
The Lixiang L6 also underwent a rigorous 2-hour continuous high-speed electric fuel consumption test over a 5km high-environment track. It traveled 243km at an average speed of 119.7km/h, consuming a total of 24.24 liters of gasoline, resulting in a measured fuel consumption of 9.98L/100km. After the test, the displayed battery level increased from 0% at the start to 15%.

● Lixiang L6 1000km Maximum Range Challenge
As one of the popular mid-size SUVs in recent months, many potential Lixiang L6 users are concerned about its range capability. In this 1000km maximum range challenge, the Lixiang L6, equipped with a 60L fuel tank capacity and 36.8kWh battery capacity (driving mode set to standard/comfort, energy mode hybrid), ran dry after covering 1042.7km. The "1000km journey" took 13.22 hours at an average speed of 78.9km/h. During refueling, it consumed a total of 65.92 liters of 95-octane gasoline. Among the ten tested vehicles, only the Ideal L6 and Wenjie M7 used 95-octane gasoline, averaging 6.32L/100km. Calculated based on 95-octane gasoline at 8.36 yuan/L and electricity at 1.2242 yuan/kW·h, the Lixiang L6 averaged a cost of 0.57 yuan per kilometer, ranking fifth among the ten vehicles.

● Lixiang L6 Off-Road Climbing
Equipped with a dual-motor four-wheel-drive system, the Lixiang L6 successfully tackled slope challenges of 36° and 42°, despite being primarily positioned for road and household use. With the support of its four-wheel-drive system and 529N·m combined torque, it demonstrates considerable capability for overcoming obstacles. It handles unpaved roads with ease, though attention is needed to the factory-standard approach angle (20°) and departure angle (21°) on non-paved surfaces.

● Lixiang L6 Summary
In all tests, the Lixiang L6 generally performs at a mid-range level. Its balanced performance and range are the main focus, making it suitable for household use. Its commendable off-road capability was evident in successfully tackling the 36° and 42° slope challenges.
