New Volkswagen Jetta official pictures with improved appearance and lowered price

On June 25, the new Volkswagen Jetta was officially released, along with the new Jetta GLI model. The new car has focused on improving its appearance and will be launched overseas first in the third quarter. The overseas price is $23,295. Due to the cancellation of the manual transmission model, its starting price is cheaper than the old model.
 
In terms of appearance, the new Jetta has abandoned the design of the big mouth grille. The center grille is connected to the front headlight group to form a whole. The chrome decoration on the center grille runs through the entire headlight, and the smoked headlights on both sides are slender and sporty. The front surround consists of an air intake and a guide groove, making the entire front face more sporty. The front surround of the Jetta GLI model has added red decoration, and the classic honeycomb grille is presented again.
 
On the side of the body, the same as the current model, the dynamic waistline runs through the entire body, and the windows are no longer decorated with chrome. The ordinary model provides 17-inch wheels, while the GLI model will provide 18-inch sports blackened wheels with red calipers inside.
   
At the rear of the vehicle, a new style of taillight design is adopted. The size of the taillight is not small and looks quite refreshing. The two lights are connected in the middle by a decorative panel. The rear surround of the new Jetta is decorated with chrome. The overall design style is still that of a family car. The new Jetta GLI adopts an independent black rear surround design and has a more eye-catching exhaust.
 
In terms of interior, the new Jetta basically continues the interior design of the current model, such as the through-type air-conditioning outlet and the suspended central control screen. The 8-inch central control screen is standard for the entire series and is equipped with functions such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The interior of the new Jetta GLI will show red ambient lights, as well as red decorations and stitching on the center console, seats, and steering wheel.
In terms of power, the new Jetta is equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 160 horsepower (118 kilowatts), matched with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and the manual transmission model is cancelled. The new Jetta GLI model is equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 231 horsepower (170 kilowatts), matched with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
