Recently, media reported that FAW-Volkswagen's new Magotan is expected to be launched in early July. At present, the new generation of Magotan has arrived in the store. As a replacement product, the new Magotan has been upgraded a lot, and the appearance, interior and intelligent configuration have been further upgraded. For reference, the price of the current models on sale is 26,300-35,700 US dollars.
 
In terms of appearance, the new car adopts a new family design style. The narrow front grille is connected to the headlights on both sides, and a through-type chrome trim is equipped in the center, making the front of the car look wider and more atmospheric. The Volkswagen brand LOGO in the center can be lit, and there are through-type light strips on both sides, which greatly enhances the sense of technology. The lower part of the front of the car is equipped with chrome trim and guide groove shape, which further enhances the sense of sportiness.
   
From the side of the body, the car has a waistline running from the front wheel eyebrow to the taillight, with a new style of two-color large-size wheels, and the overall sense of sportiness is full. At the rear, the car uses a through-type taillight, and the Volkswagen LOGO can also be lit up, with the red reflective strip below, which greatly enhances the layering of the rear of the car. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4990/1854/1487mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2871mm.
 
The new Magotan has more significant changes in the interior. The new car is equipped with three large screens: full LCD instrument, large-size floating central control screen and co-pilot entertainment screen. In terms of technology, it is not inferior to the current new car-making forces. The new car adopts a hand-held gear design, and the lower part of the center console leaves a larger storage space. In addition, the new car will be greatly upgraded in terms of intelligence, and will be equipped with DJI's newly released intelligent driving solution.
       
In terms of power, the new Magotan is equipped with two power systems, namely the 1.5T four-cylinder engine model D5V with a maximum power of 160 horsepower (118kW) and the 2.0T engine model EA888-DTJ with a maximum power of 220 horsepower (162kW) and a peak torque of 350 Nm; the transmission system is matched with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox. The new car is also equipped with an L2+ intelligent driving assistance system and a variety of cockpit technologies including 3D virtual images and AI smart assistants.
