Officially announced: Wuling Xingchen PLUS renamed Wuling Xingguang S

Recently, we learned from official channels that SAIC-GM-Wuling officially announced the second model of its Tianyu architecture D platform. The new car, formerly known as Wuling Xingchen PLUS, was officially named Wuling Xingguang S. It is positioned as a large-space SUV for home use, equipped with pure electric and plug-in hybrid power.
 
The new car is a medium-sized SUV, and its size belongs to the entry-level level among cars of the same level. Its length, width and height are 4745*1890*1680mm respectively, and its wheelbase is 2800mm. Official data shows that Wuling Xingguang S, like Wuling Xingguang, comes from the Tianyu architecture D platform. One is positioned as an SUV and the other is a sedan. From the perspective of styling, the two use the same design language, and the closed upper grille on the front face and the shape of the daytime running lights are very similar.
 
In addition to using the surface to create a simple and smooth visual effect, the side of the car also incorporates upper and lower double chrome decorations to further embellish it. The rear styling is also youthful and fashionable. The taillight design echoes the headlights. The black lower surround and silver lower guard plate raise the visual height of the rear.
 
In terms of power, the car will be equipped with "Lingxi Power" and "Shenlian Battery". Although no specific data has been announced, referring to the current Wuling Xingguang, it is expected that the plug-in hybrid version of the new car will be equipped with a 78-kW 1.5L naturally aspirated engine + 150-kW electric motor combination. The maximum power of the pure electric version of the motor is 150 kW, and the drive form is front-mounted front-wheel drive.
