Recently, we learned from domestic media that Geely Galaxy E5 is expected to be officially launched in early August. The car is positioned as a pure electric compact SUV with a range of 440km and 530km (CLTC working conditions), and will also be equipped with Flyme Auto car system, etc. The competitor of this car will be BYD Yuan PLUS. For reference, the price range of this car is 16,800-20,800 US dollars.
 
Looking back at the new car, its appearance still adopts the family design style. The closed grille design and C-shaped daytime running lights provide it with a good sense of sportiness. With the sharp headlight shape, the front face is full of aggressiveness. In terms of body color, the new car will provide 6 options: Xiaguang Red, Late Cherry Pink, Morning Mist Gray, Sky Blue Green, Dawn White and Streamer Silver.
   
The Geely Galaxy E5 has a body size of 4615/1901/1670mm in length, width and height, and a wheelbase of 2750mm. It is also equipped with low-drag wheels, with a tire size of 235/50 R19 and a drag coefficient of 0.269. The rear of the car adopts a through-type taillight design, which creates a 3D effect inside and is very recognizable when lit. In addition, the C-pillar corner window design of the car has also been innovated to help improve the sight of rear passengers.
 

In terms of the interior of the Geely Galaxy E5, the new car consists of a floating central control screen + LCD instrument + HUD, which consists of three screens in the car. The central control screen will have a built-in Flyme Auto car system and will be equipped with the first domestically produced car-grade 7nm car chip Longying No. 1. In addition, the new car will also provide thick front and rear seats for good comfort, and will also be equipped with a sound system with 16 speakers (with headrest speakers), with a very rich configuration.
 
In terms of power, the new Geely Galaxy E5 has a maximum motor power of 160kW. Depending on the configuration, Geely's self-developed Aegis Short Blade battery is available in two specifications: 49.52kWh and 60.22kWh, with a corresponding CLTC pure electric range of 440km and 530km.
