On March 25, we learned from BYD officials that its mid-sized sedan, Seal Honor Edition, was officially launched. The new car has launched a total of 5 models, with a price range of 179,800-249,800 yuan. The new car will provide three endurance versions, four power configurations, and five configuration models for consumers to choose from.
In terms of appearance, the new car adopts the new design concept of BYD Ocean series, drawing design inspiration from water drops, ripples, and ocean waves. The dense grille shape is matched with LED light groups with corners on both sides, plus the sharp shapes on both sides of the front apron. The heat dissipation openings give the overall design a very dynamic shape.
On the side of the body, the new car adopts a slightly fastback design, and the overall look is very compact and rounded. At the rear of the car, the new car adopts the popular through-type taillight set. The main body of the taillights on both sides adopts a water-drop shape design. Together with the transparent light housing, the new car shows a fashionable and dynamic attribute. The overall dimensions of the car are 4800/1875/1460mm, and the wheelbase is 2920mm.
Seal's central control panel continues the overall layout of the Ocean series models. The crystal clear crystal gear lever is embedded in it as the visual core of the sub-instrument panel, and together with a set of mechanical buttons, form the "Heart of the Ocean" control center. "Heart of the Ocean" also integrates common functions including starting, power mode, driving mode selection, air conditioning and audio control.
BYD's Seal Honor Edition adopts CTB battery body integration technology, iTAC intelligent torque control technology, rear-wheel drive/four-wheel drive architecture, front double wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension, and can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 3.8 seconds. It only takes 30 minutes to quickly charge the battery from 30% to 80%. Specifically, the car provides three power versions according to different configurations. The total motor power is 150 kW, 170 kW and 230 kW respectively, and the peak torque is 310 N·m, 330 N·m and 360 N·m respectively. In terms of batteries, the car provides two types of batteries: 61.4kWh and 82.5kWh, providing pure electric cruising ranges of 550 kilometers, 650 kilometers and 700 kilometers under CLTC conditions.
