Priced from 316,900 yuan, the new BMW X2 is officially launched

On February 28th, the brand new BMW X2 was officially launched. The car launched a total of 3 models with a price range of 316,900-419,900 yuan.The new car will be produced in line with the new BMW X1/iX1 at the Regensburg factory in Germany. Among them, the sDrive25i and xDrive25i models will start delivery from now on, while the X2 M35i will start delivery in the second quarter.

Looking at the new car, the new BMW X2 has a new interpretation of BMW's classic kidney grille design, with a hexagonal shape and the introduction of LED light sources, making it more recognizable both day and night. The headlights on both sides are equipped with matrix LED light sources, which can realize functions such as adaptive high beam and corner fill-in light. The large-sized air intake below adopts a black mesh design, giving it a strong sporty atmosphere. The vents on both sides can also help the brake system dissipate heat and show greater aggression.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4554/1845/1590mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2692mm, which is overall larger than the old BMW X2. On the side of the car, the new car still has a smart body posture, and the smooth body lines seem to allow us to see the shadow of the BMW X4/X6 models. It is reported that the drag coefficient of the new generation BMW X2 is only 0.27Cd. In addition, the M35i model also uses the iconic "Devil Ear" rearview mirror and is equipped with red brake calipers.
At the rear of the car, the new car adopts a very eye-catching taillight design with a new shape. Together with the upper spoiler and lower diffuser design, it shows a strong sense of sportiness. It is worth mentioning that, except for the M35i xDrive, which uses a bilateral exhaust layout with four outlets in total, the other models all use a hidden exhaust layout. In addition, the new car will also provide the option of the M Sport package, which will upgrade the front lip, side skirts and rear lip, and will be equipped with M adaptive suspension and 19-inch M wheels. The M Sport Pro package will include rear M spoiler, red calipers, M seat belts and more.

Entering the car, we are familiar with the BMW family design style. The car will be equipped with BMW's latest operating system and support QuickSelect quick access function to reduce operating steps. It is reported that about 70% of the functions of the new BMW X2's car-machine system come from local development by the Chinese R&D team. At the same time, the car will also be equipped with L2+ driving assistance functions.
It is worth mentioning that the new car’s seats have also been newly developed to improve comfort, and the front seats support optional heating, ventilation and massage functions. The M35i xDrive adopts a bucket seat design, which greatly enhances the sense of wrapping. The rear seats support folding down in a 4:2:4 ratio, and the trunk volume is 560-1470L.

In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a 2.0T engine, of which the sDrive25i and xDrive25i models have a maximum power of 204 horsepower and a maximum torque of 300 Nm; while the new BMW X2 M35i xDrive model has a maximum output of 300 horsepower and a maximum torque of 400 Nm, 0 -100km/h acceleration time is 5.4 seconds, and it is also equipped with M exclusive chassis and M adaptive suspension, etc.
