BYD announces price range of FANGCHENGBAO BAO 5 rugged SUV

At THE 2023 Chengdu Auto Show, WHICH OPENED TODAY, BYD, A FAMOUS Chinese NEW ENERGY VEHICLE MANUFACTURER, OPENED BLIND PRE-ORDERS FOR BAO 5, THE FIRST MODEL OF ITS FANGCHENGBAO (LITERALLY “LEOPARD FORMULA”) BRAND.

The company revealed that the price range of this model is set at between 300,000 and 400,000 yuan.

BAO 5 is positioned as a super hybrid off-road SUV, built using BYD's DMO super hybrid off-road platform.Its carved body design resonates with its rugged off-road characteristics, while the current matrix headlights and electrode ring taillight design further emphasize its hybrid positioning.
In terms of power, BAO 5 is compared with Mercedes-Benz G-class and other models.It adopts BYD's DiSus intelligent body control system.This includes a dual motor and three differential locks, as well as additional functions of a vertically mounted engine.Relying on the DMO platform, the total power of this model can exceed 500kW, the peak torque is 760N·m, and the acceleration time of 0-100 km/h is 4.8 seconds.
In terms of range, BAO 5 can achieve a CLTC rated range of 125 kilometers by relying only on battery power.It can charge 30% to 80% of the battery capacity in 16 minutes.The fuel tank is full, the battery is fully charged, and the comprehensive range of the vehicle can exceed 1200 kilometers.In addition, this model supports 20 kilowatts of fixed charging, 6 kilowatts of AC car-to-car charging and 6 kilowatts of V2L (car-to-load) discharge.
